pumpkins

This October was packed with a lot of great things such as birthdays, pumpkin carving parties, school/homework, and lets not forget HALLOWEEN. This month was my moms and Kenzie's birthday which were both a lot of fun. For Kenzies birthday we had dinner and carved pumpkins, for my mothers birthday we also went to dinner and shopping. Both of these ladies are great and I love both of them very much. This year Laura and I decided to have a Carving pumpkin party. Carving pumpkins has always been one of my favorite things to do around Halloween time. I don't know what it is about the whole thing I just find it so fun. Not so much the gutting the pumpkin, but the carving process is so exciting. Well..this year I carved 2 pumpkins which turned out to be plenty for the rest of the year. I don't even want to think about carving another one until...oh next Halloween. But it turns out I'm more of a Halloweeny kind of girl then I thought. I loved dressing up, decorating treats, and watching scary movies. This October turned out to be filled with lots of friends and family activities all of which I enjoyed.

Tori Amos!

I love Tori Amos I think she is amazing! So I hear that she is coming and I was totally bummed cause I didn't think I would get to go to her concert. But...then the most amazing thing happened. I'm sitting in my car listening to the radio when I hear a chance to win Tori Amos tickets! Not only tickets, but also a chance to sit in on a in-studio interview with her. I was estactic and so I call my roommate (Kacee) and tell her about this amazing chance. We are both so anxious to call in. So we hang up and both call in. In order to win we had to answer a question about Tori and also be caller number three. The question was 'What major actress did Tori Amos over take in a Kellogs commercial in the 80's?' I had no idea! So as I'm calling in and at the same time I am texting Kacee who is the biggest Tori fan ever and ask her for the answer. Just as she texts me back my call goes through. I immediately ask if I am caller number three and he says no, but no one has been able to answer the question. Then he asks if I know the answer. I say...more like scream 'Sara Jessica Parker!' and then BAM I won the tickets. I was screaming so loud and was so excited I called Kacee and was screaming that we get to go to the interview with TORI. Of course I would take her cause without her I wouldn't have even won and who deserves it more then Kacee??? So that was the beginning of one of the best experiences in my life. When it came time to go to the interview I was so nervous and couldn't even decide what I was going to wear. I ended up wearing my shirt with a Zebra on it in honor of her song 'Hello Mr. Zebra', which is one of my favorites. Kacee and I were the second ones there and we were able to take lots of pictures, meet her, get her autograph and a picture with her! It was amazing and definately in my top 5 experiences of my life...

Card Night

So Kacee and I have started a card night that's Tuesday nights. Last Tuesday Cherisa came over and we all played a card game called Pounce. It has been so much fun and now I just look forward to playing cards with the girls. Now if I could only win Kacee!! ha ha.
